The Midwifery Association Pakistan [MAP] has celebrated International Breast Feeding Day on 13th of August, 2015 at Lady Dufferin Hospital, Karachi. The MAP has invited 18 midwifery schools from Karachi in order to create awareness and collaboration within community midwifery students, tutors and doctors. The crowd of 100 was benefited from this event.
The event was highly interactive and provided an opportunity to learn and share knowledge, practices, success story and challenges to the participants. The guest speakers and group of panel had provided recent updates, challenges and recommendation on breast feeding practices. The event was based on two segments; 1) Poster Presentation and 2) Planner session and panel discussion.
The community midwifery students presented theme based posters. Which were highly appreciated by the participants and at the end winners were awarded prizes. Lastly refreshment served and session officially adjourned.
