The Midwifery Association of Pakistan (MAP) is pleased to share the recording and training materials from the recently held Training of Trainers (TOT) on Climate Change and Heat Stress in Pregnancy, organized in collaboration with UNFPA and Burnet Institute.

This impactful session brought together more than 300 midwives and maternal health professionals from across the Asia Pacific region, focusing on a growing concern – the impact of climate change on maternal health.

Training Modules Included
This TOT is designed for midwives, maternal-newborn healthcare providers, and midwifery educators. It includes four core modules:

  • Understanding Heat Stress – Background and who is at risk
  • B.E.A.T the Heat – Community communication strategies
  • Recognizing & Responding – Clinical management of heat-related illness during pregnancy
  • Facility & Advocacy – Creating safer health environments and championing change
